On day 2, we began to practice for our performances throughout Italy. This was the first time that all of the singers had sang together, since Arielle traveled with us from Florida, as well as Colt, who ran the sound.
That morning, we went into Sphelanbergo to the market. Michael and I were able to piece enough Italian together to buy bottled water and strawberries...lol. It was quite amazing, as this was our first interaction with the Italian people (who are absolutely amazing and hospitable). For lunch, we pretty much gorged ourselves on pasta with olive oil and spices, bread, salad, nectarines, and watermelon. (They fruit over there is like non I have ever tasted! It was sooo fresh and sweet!) That night, after Michael's first lesson driving a stick shift, we went for pizza! I had the funghi e proscuitto (ham and mushroom) and Michael had diavola (pepperoni). It was by far the best pizza I had ever tasted in my life!
